Upon its release, "Pink Friday 2" debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, making Minaj the first female rapper with three number-one albums. It earned 228,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, with 92,000 coming from pure album sales.
The album achieved 90.8 million streams in its first day, with tracks like "Everybody" featuring Lil Uzi Vert and "Are You Gone Already" gaining early traction. In its first week, the album garnered 169.87 million streams, setting records for Minaj and for female rap albums in the 2020s.
