Dua Lipa announces the highly anticipated 3rd studio album, 'radical optimism', set to be released on May 3.

ua Lipa has officially unveiled her third studio album, "radical optimism," set for release on May 3. The album, led by the singles "Houdini" and "Training Season," features a total of eleven tracks, including nine additional songs that promise to delve into a blend of musical influences and themes of resilience and optimism.

"Houdini," which emerged in November, showcases a collaborative effort with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Danny L Harle, Caroline Ailin, and Tobias Jesso Jr., blending their unique talents for a standout track. "Training Season," presented at the 2024 Grammy Awards, maintains the high caliber of musical craftsmanship, signaling the diverse sonic landscape that "radical optimism" aims to cover.

Lipa's inspiration for the album title and overarching theme stems from the concept of "Radical Optimism," a philosophy that resonates with her personal journey and artistic expression. She describes it as an approach to navigating life's challenges with grace and a positive outlook, influenced by her exploration of music history, particularly psychedelia, trip-hop, and Britpop.

Since her last album, "Future Nostalgia," Lipa has not only made significant strides in her music career but also ventured into acting, with roles in films and significant contributions to their soundtracks. Additionally, Dua's decision to buy back the rights to her publishing catalog marks a pivotal move towards greater control over her artistic output.

The tracklist for "radical optimism" includes:

  1. end of an era
  2. houdini
  3. training season
  4. these walls
  5. whatcha doing
  6. french exit
  7. illusion
  8. falling forever
