Three Days Grace Earns RIAA 8x Platinum for "Animal I Have Become"

The Canadian rock group Three Days Grace has earned a major new certification for their hit single "Animal I Have Become." On Nobyembre 18, 2025, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the track 8x Platinum, recognizing 8,000,000 units in the United States. The single was released by RCA Records.

Released on Abril 18, 2006, "Animal I Have Become" served as the lead single from the band's second studio album, One-X. The song's intense and personal lyrics were penned by the band's then-lead singer and songwriter, Adam Gontier, during a stay at a rehabilitation center. Written as a cry for help, the track details his struggle with an addiction to OxyContin and the feeling of being consumed by it.
