NEW YORK – Electropop artist and producer Justine On Green has announced her debitē single, “Letter to the Industry,” will be released on October 17. The track will be available on all digital streaming platforms. “This is where it all starts—the ground floor. It only goes up from here,” Justine On Green said in a statement.

The song directly addresses exploitation within the arts and is described as one of her most personal works. “This is about not letting the system—the insane world we live in—take that from you,” she explained. “I wrote this for people like myself, who had to tap into that truth or lose everything.”

Based in Vancouver and Los Angeles, Justine On Green is a blind, transgender, and lesbian artist who blends synth-pop with emotional storytelling. While “Letter to the Industry” is her first official solo release, she is an industry veteran with experience as a ghostwriter and producer. Her previous work has garnered over 1 million streams and 5 million social media views, and she has performed the national anthem for the Edmonton Oilers and Team Canada Olympic teams.

The artist acknowledges the single is a deliberate statement. “It’s risky—not what you’d expect in a pop single or from my past music,” she said. “But it came from finally being grounded in myself and my place in the world for the first time.” “Letter to the Industry” is the first of twelve singles planned for release over the next year, which will be supported by live performances and DJ sets.
