Celebrated pop artist JORDY today unveiled his bold third studio album SEX WITH MYSELF, available to stream/download here. After one listen, listeners might just feel as good as JORDY does. The truly uninhibited effort is bound to inspire audiences to live a little freer and love themselves a little harder. Filled with a danceable, retro collection of songs that discuss hookups, heartbreak, pleasure, sex, and self-love without apology, the LP highlights JORDY’s diaristic lyricism, personal and creative growth, and fresh jolt of confidence as an artist. This progression is also exemplified in track no. 6 - a double entendre with connection to his last record.
“As I grow and evolve, I always promise my listeners that they’ll be right here with me,” said JORDY. “I’m exploring myself and my sexuality. It’s still JORDY, but these are subjects I wasn’t comfortable enough to tackle in the past. I want people to walk away from this album feeling unashamed and proud to be who they are. I hope they feel like they are able to give more attention to themselves and their bodies.”
“Going from BOY to writing a song called ‘MEN,’ it’s intentional,” JORDY added. “I’m almost 30, and of course, I have written about sex before, but never in this unfiltered way. I wanted to use this as a moment to state, ‘I’m a grown up now and this is my experience’.”
The companion music video for the album’s title track is also out today. Directed by frequent collaborator Lily Judge, the candid, provocative visual showcases JORDY (truly!) embracing himself.
JORDY, Sex With Myself, video:
“It’s very important to be in touch with and understand your body,” JORDY noted. “‘SEX WITH MYSELF’ encompasses the whole experience. I’m just bringing people inward while also keeping self-love at the top.”
