The Neighbourhood's single "Daddy Issues" has reached a new commercial milestone, receiving a 5x Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The certification, awarded on October 30, 2025, signifies 5,000,000 certified units in sales and streaming equivalents in the United States. The track was released via Columbia Records.

"Daddy Issues" was originally released on October 30, 2015, as part of the band's sophomore studio album, Wiped Out!. The song explores personal themes related to frontman Jesse Rutherford's relationship with his late father and the effects of his absence. The album featured production primarily from 4e and Justyn Pilbrow, with contributions from Benny Blanco, and was executive produced by The Neighbourhood and Kirk Harding.

Formed in Newbury Park, California, in 2011, The Neighbourhood consists of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Fried. The alternative rock band broke into the mainstream with their 2013 single "Sweater Weather," which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and experienced a significant resurgence in popularity years later. "Daddy Issues" is one of several notable hits for the group, alongside tracks like "Afraid," "Softcore," and "The Beach."
