Paul Wall's single "Girl" has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), recognizing 500,000 units in sales and streaming equivalents in the United States. The certification for the Atlantic Records release was officially awarded on November 13, 2025.
Released on July 19, 2005, "Girl" served as the third single from Wall's major-label debut album, The People's Champ. The R&B/Hip-Hop track is built on a sample of the 1972 soul classic "Oh Girl" by The Chi-Lites which provides the song's melodic hook.
