Burna Boy's single "City Boys" has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), marking a significant milestone for the track. The certification, dated October 29, 2025, signifies 500,000 certified units in the United States. The song was released under the On A Spaceship / Bad Habit / Atlantic Records labels.

"City Boys" was released on August 25, 2023, as the fifth single from Burna Boy's seventh studio album, I Told Them.... Produced by MD$ and Ruuben, the track features a prominent sample of Jeremih's February 2009 single, "Birthday Sex." Upon its release, the song garnered positive critical reception and was later nominated for the Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, highlighting its impact and reach.

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and record producer who first gained widespread recognition with his 2012 single "Like to Party." He signed with Atlantic Records in 2017, leading to a series of critically and commercially successful projects. His 2019 album, African Giant, was nominated for a Grammy Award, and his 2020 follow-up, Twice as Tall, won for Best World Music Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
