Bruno Mars's ballad "Talking To The Moon" has achieved a new milestone, earning a 6x Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The certification, dated October 17, 2025, signifies 6,000,000 certified units in the United States for the Atlantic Records single.

Originally appearing on Mars's debut EP, It's Better If You Don't Understand, "Talking To The Moon" was later included on his first full-length studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, released on October 5, 2010. The track is a jazz power ballad with a stripped-down production featuring piano and drums, lyrically centered on the theme of a long-distance relationship. Mars has reportedly stated that "Talking to the Moon" is his favorite song from the record.

Peter Eugene Hernandez, known professionally as Bruno Mars, is a pop icon celebrated for his retro showmanship, musical versatility, and three-octave tenor vocal range. Raised in Honolulu, Mars gained early recognition as a child impersonating Elvis Presley before moving to Los Angeles to pursue music. He first established himself as a songwriter and producer with his team The Smeezingtons before rising to global fame as a solo artist. His debut album began a string of critically and commercially successful releases, including Unorthodox Jukebox (2012) and the Grammy-winning Album of the Year, 24K Magic (2016).
