Lenier & Gente De Zona Earn RIAA Latin Gold for "La Diferente"

The collaborative single "La Diferente" by Cuban artists Lenier and Gente De Zona has been certified Latin Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The certification, dated 3. októbra 2025, recognizes 30,000 units in sales and streaming equivalents in the United States. The track was released on 27. septembra 2024, via Mr. 305 Records.

Born Álvaro Lenier Mesa in Güines, Cuba, the singer-songwriter known as Lenier emigrated to Miami at age 15. He has since become a prominent figure in the Latin music scene, earning a mention at the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards in the "Best Tropical Song" category for his collaboration with Marc Anthony, "Mala." In 2020, Lenier signed with Pitbull's Mr. 305 Records, where he released the platinum-certified single "Como Te Pago." His career includes collaborations with a wide range of major artists, including Pitbull, Yandel, Farruko, and 6ix9ine, for whom he featured on three tracks from the 2023 album Leyenda Viva.
