Raised in the swamps of Alva, Florida, after spending her earliest years in Wisconsin, Jaid Joice channels the grit of her Southern roots into a sound she calls Swamp Rock - an infectious blend of indie rock grit, Americana storytelling, and country soul. Inspired by trailblazers like Waylon Jennings and Janis Joplin, “Cigarettes” introduces the music world to an artist who balances vulnerability with raw, commanding energy.
Music runs deep in Jaid’s bloodline. Her grandfather, a Vietnam War veteran and blues singer-songwriter, inspired her early passion for the craft. By age nine, Jaid was already taking the stage in Wisconsin bars with her uncle’s band. Her parents recognized her rare spark early on and encouraged her path, pairing her with her first guitar teacher and writing mentor, Keith. That dedication led to her signing an artist development deal at just 13 years old. Since then, she has spent years in Nashville collaborating with legendary songwriters, honing a voice that is both fiercely authentic and timeless.
Building further on her momentum, Jaid has also just announced she’ll be performing with Evan Felker and Charley Crockett in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in an evening with the artists. Behind the scenes, she has partnered with Jon Folk at WME to finalize an expansive headlining and support touring schedule for Fall 2026, extending into 2027.
Whether performing solo with an acoustic guitar or backed by a full band, Jaid has earned a reputation for magnetic, high-energy live performances that forge immediate connections with audiences.
