Alessia Cara Earns RIAA 6x Platinum for "Scars To Your Beautiful"

Canadian singer and songwriter Alessia Cara's single "Scars To Your Beautiful" has reached a new certification milestone, officially being certified 6x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on November 13, 2025. The certification from label Def Jam recognizes 6,000,000 certified units in the United States.

Released on November 13, 2015, "Scars To Your Beautiful" is the third single from Cara's platinum-certified debut album, Know-It-All. The song became a global anthem for self-acceptance and positive body image. In an interview, Cara explained the track was a "gut-wrenching take on female identity." She first performed the song at TEDxTeen in 2015, and it was later serviced to Top 40 radio on July 26, 2016.
