Troye Sivan Mellet, known professionally as Troye Sivan, was born on June 5, 1995, in Johannesburg, South Africa. His family relocated to Perth, Australia, when he was two years old. Sivan grew up in a Jewish family with three siblings and attended Carmel School, a private Modern Orthodox school in Perth.
