Olivia Isabel Rodrigo, born on February 20, 2003, in Murrieta, California, is the only child of Jennifer, a school teacher, and Chris Rodrigo, a family therapist. She is of Filipino American descent, with her father being of Filipino origin and her mother having German and Irish ancestry. Rodrigo grew up in Temecula, California, and was born half-deaf in her left ear. She was exposed to alternative rock music from a young age, including bands like No Doubt, Pearl Jam, the White Stripes, and Green Day.
