Wells Ferrari Release Sophomore EP 'Wasted Time' on Atlantic Records

Indie-folk duo Wells Ferrari have released their sophomore EP, Wasted Time, via Atlantic Records. The seven-track collection, written by best friends Will Wells and Mikey Ferrari, combines heartfelt storytelling with acoustic soul and a modern Americana sound, drawing on influences like The Eagles and The Head and The Heart.

The EP was recorded in Joshua Tree at a location called “The Adobe” in collaboration with producer Garrett Hall. The project explores themes of love, loss, hope, and resilience, with “Cloud of Rain” serving as the EP’s focus track. According to the duo, the record is a continuation of their story and their experiences together. “We’ve always wanted to build community with our music and write songs that help people feel seen because we really value finding the things that connect us all,” Wells Ferrari stated. “As we work toward our debut album, it’s exciting to know we will be able to tell the tales we want to tell and share even more of who we are.”

Will Wells, from Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay, and Mikey Ferrari, from the California Bay Area, met during a writing session in Los Angeles in 2019 and formed the duo. Following a summer tour in the UK supporting Evan Honer, Wells Ferrari will join Yoke Lore and Matt Maeson for select U.S. dates this fall.
