Today, Ohio-raised and Nashville-based singer-songwriter Nolan Taylor has announced plans for his 1:17AM EP, arriving everywhere on August 21 via Atlantic Outpost. Pre-order/pre-save here. To celebrate the news, Nolan has shared the EP’s opening track, “Come Back To Bed,” featuring Andy Hull of Manchester Orchestra. Listen HERE. The track is accompanied by an intimate, acoustic live performance video, streaming on Nolan’s official YouTube channel. Watch HERE.

At the top of 2026, Nolan decamped to Los Angeles to record what would become 1:17AM with producer Zach Dawes (Lana Del Rey, Sharon Van Etten) as a follow-up to his self-titled debut released last year. “Come Back To Bed” introduces this next chapter with its shuffling drumbeat and fluid electric guitar line all built around a head-nodding rhythm that instantly grabs the listener’s attention. Against the slow burn of this soundscape, he paints a picture with poetic lyrics such as, “The blanket in my living room longs to take the shape of you.” Nolan and Andy trades verses until a heartfelt hook takes hold with a plea, “So come on baby. come back to bed.”

Nolan shares, “There are certain records made for the drive home. Others belong in the background. 1:17AM was made for the hour when everything else has gone silent, and all that’s left is honesty. “For ‘Come Back To Bed,’ I wanted to do a more up-tempo tune and get into love song territory. We sent it to Andy, and he loved it. Manchester Orchestra is one of my favorite bands, so it was incredible to work with him. I don’t think it could’ve turned out better.”

Nolan recently announced a run of headline shows, kicking off in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 2. Following those dates, Nolan will stay on the road to support Shovels & Rope on their fall tour throughout October (see tour itinerary attached below). About

As a songwriter, Nolan Taylor shoots straight. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything or overcomplicate the language. Instead, he says exactly what’s on his mind. When he scrawls down words with a pen, it’s as if he draws a direct line from his heart to the page. Simultaneously, his range is anything but straightforward. He can belt out pain from the gut or soothe with a gentle melody—often within the space of the same song. He’s both intensely emotional and assuredly direct, and that’s why he’s quietly resonated with audiences everywhere. During his childhood in the small town of Blanchester, OH, he endured what seemed like an endless string of trials and tribulations. Poverty, addiction, and mental health struggles plagued his family and friends. Nevertheless, he found solace in music. Post-high school, he pursued his dream wholeheartedly. He went viral with “68” and delivered EPs including Life & Love and Live From The Living Room. However, everything just paved the way for his acclaimed self-titled full-length debut, Nolan Taylor, in 2025. Of the latter, Rolling Stone asserted, “Even as an era of soul-baring artists playing stripped-down, heart-heavy songs takes hold in country music, Nolan Taylor manages to stand out.” HOLLER. predicted, “Taylor is poised to become one of the next stars in the country-folk space.” Along the way, he has sold out headline tours and supported Band of Horses, Charley Crockett, City and Colour, and The Revivalists. Moreover, he cut “Driving You Home” for the GRAMMY® Award-nominated Twisters: The Album. Now, the Ohio-bred and Nashville-based troubadour continues to cut deep enough to strike a chord on his forthcoming 1:17AM EP, out August 21 via Atlantic Outpost.
