Swedish singer Zara Larsson's 2016 single, "I Would Like," was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on October 7, 2025. The certification recognizes 500,000 units sold in the United States. Released on November 11, 2016, via TEN Music Group and Epic Records, the track served as a key single from her internationally successful second studio album, So Good.

"I Would Like" was initially issued as a promotional single before being released as the album's fourth official single. The dance-pop song, which notably samples Jamaican artist Sasha's 1998 dancehall track "Dat Sexy Body," found significant success in Europe. Following a performance on the thirteenth series of the U.K. 's The X Factor on December 4, 2016, the song climbed the charts, peaking at number two in the United Kingdom on December 30, 2016. At the time, it was her highest-charting solo single in the country.

Larsson first rose to prominence in her native Sweden after winning the 2008 season of Talang, the Swedish version of the Got Talent franchise. After signing with TEN Music Group, she achieved Scandinavian success with her 2013 single "Uncover." Her career reached new heights after signing a U.S. contract with Epic Records, leading to global hits like "Lush Life" (2015) and "Never Forget You" (2015). The album So Good, released in March 2017, solidified her status as an international pop artist, and she has since released the albums Poster Girl (2021) and Venus (2024).
