American rapper Yung Gravy has earned a new RIAA certification for his 2019 single, "The Boys Are Back In Town." The track, which features Pouya, Ramirez, and Trippythakid, was certified Gold on October 17, 2025, signifying 500,000 certified units in the United States. The single was released by Republic Records.
"The Boys Are Back in Town" was released on May 31, 2019, as part of Yung Gravy's debut studio album, Sensational. The song marked the first collaboration between Gravy and any of the featured artists. Over a bass-heavy experimental beat, the four rappers trade quick verses about women and wealth. The title is considered a possible reference to the iconic 1976 rock song of the same name by Irish band Thin Lizzy.

Born Matthew Raymond Hauri in Rochester, Minnesota, Yung Gravy began releasing music on SoundCloud after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in marketing. He developed a signature style that blends samples from soul music and oldies with modern trap production, often with a humorous, satirical tone. Since gaining viral recognition with his 2017 song "Mr. Clean," Gravy has become a platinum-selling artist, achieving two platinum and five gold singles while completing 10 sold-out tours across North America, Europe, and Australia.
