Megan Woods Earns RIAA Gold for "The Truth"

Christian/Gospel artist Megan Woods has achieved her first RIAA certification for her single "The Truth." The song was officially certified Gold on October 17, 2025, a milestone signifying 500,000 units based on sales and streaming equivalents in the United States. The single was released under the label Fair Trade Services.

"The Truth," released on May 31, 2024, is Woods' debut single and is described as a "driving piano ballad that showcases her powerhouse alto vocals." The song holds deep personal significance for the artist. "This song is my life story," Woods stated. She further explained its purpose as a message of faith and identity, saying, "I wanted to write a song that's a reminder for people every day of who they are in Jesus. We don't belong to the lies, we belong to God - that's The Truth. When the lies are closing in, this song can remind them of The Truth."

As an artist in the Christian pop and worship genres, Woods has cultivated a substantial following, reaching what industry analysts describe as a "mainstream" career stage. As of late 2025, she has attracted over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, in addition to more than 92,000 followers on the platform, 168,000 YouTube subscribers, and over 414,000 followers on Instagram. Woods hopes her music serves a greater purpose for her audience. "I hope there's a girl in the car that hears my songs and maybe she doesn't fully follow Jesus but hears a lyric and it helps her understand," she said.
