Drake's influential sophomore album, Take Care, was certified 10x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on October 24, 2025. The certification, equivalent to Diamond status, recognizes 10,000,000 certified units in the United States. The album was released under the Young Money / Cash Money / Republic Records label.

Released on November 15, 2011, Take Care served as a pivotal follow-up to Drake's debut, Thank Me Later. The Canadian artist expressed a desire to create a more cohesive and emotionally resonant project, working extensively with his long-time producer Noah "40" Shebib. The album is characterized by its moody R&B/Hip-Hop soundscapes, introspective lyrics, and a greater emphasis on singing and melodic flows. The tracklist features a prominent lineup of guest appearances, including The Weeknd, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Stevie Wonder, Lil Wayne, and André 3000.

Drake, a Canadian rapper, singer, and actor, solidified his position as a dominant force in popular music with Take Care. The album's vulnerable and atmospheric style became highly influential in the years following its release. Its title track, featuring Rihanna, was the fifth single and exemplifies the album's production depth; it heavily samples Jamie xx's remix of Gil Scott-Heron's version of "I'll Take Care of You," a song originally written by Brook Benton.
