Singer-songwriter Cameron Whitcomb has released his debut album, The Hard Way, via Atlantic Records. The album was created with producer Jack Riley and writers Cal Shapiro and Nolan Sipe.

The Hard Way chronicles Whitcomb’s journey from struggles with addiction to recovery and growth. The album includes the previously released singles “Quitter,” “Hundred Mile High,” “Options,” “Fragile,” and the title track. A new tribute to his mother, “Call For You,” is also featured.

“‘Call For You’ is a song for someone that you really care about, really love,” Whitcomb said in a statement. “I think we all have that person that no matter what goes wrong, you can just call and rely on. I feel like a lot of people come and go but there's always that one person you come back to.”

Coinciding with the album’s release, Whitcomb shared a new live performance video for the single “Medusa.”

The Nanaimo, BC-based artist has accumulated over 500 million global streams and more than 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. This week, he was named the 2025 recipient of the CMA’s Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award, which recognizes achievements by an international country music artist.

Whitcomb will support the new album with the I’ve Got Options Tour, which kicks off Sept. 26 in Portland. The run of dates includes a sold-out two-night stand at the Troubadour in Los Angeles.
