The special premiered as a movie theater event during Veterans Day weekend (2023) and made its broadcast premiere during Memorial Day weekend (2024).

Adding to the star-studded celebration are special appearances by President George W. Bush, Dolly Parton, Kid Rock, and Paula Deen, making this a must-see tribute to one of country music’s most beloved patriots.

During the taping of this special, two adapted homes were given to deserving veterans through Greenwood’s association with Helping A Hero, a 501(c)3 organization. Those homes were donated by Louis and Patti Breland of Breland Homes in Huntsville, Alabama.

In addition, Greenwood was recently presented with a plaque from MCA Records/Universal Music Group for two-million sales of the single, “God Bless The U.S.A.” during a private dinner event. During Memorial Day weekend, “God Bless The U.S.A.”’s original MCA recording saw an 819% increase on Instagram for creations and a 424% increase on views (4.8M), according to MCA Records/UMe.
