Bryson Tiller's single "Next To You" was certified platīna by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on 2025. gada 2. oktobris. The certification from the R&B/Hip-Hop artist, released via RCA Records, signifies sales and streaming equivalents of 1,000,000 units in the United States. The track was first released on 2020. gada 2. oktobris, as part of Tiller's third studio album, A N N I V E R S A R Y.

Thematically, "Next To You" details an attempt to reconnect with a past lover and rebuild a relationship. During a Twitch livestream, Tiller revealed that the song was written five years before its release, during the sessions for his debitē album, T R A P S O U L. The track was ultimately included on A N N I V E R S A R Y, which was released in 2020 and peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 chart.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Bryson Tiller began his career in 2011 and achieved mainstream recognition with his 2015 single "Don't." The song peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since been certified septuple platīna by the RIAA. Its success led to his debitē studio album, Trapsoul (2015), which entered the top ten of the Billboard 200 and received a triple platīna certification. Tiller's second album, True to Self (2017), debuted at number one on the chart. He has also achieved major success as a featured artist, notably on DJ Khaled's 2017 single "Wild Thoughts" alongside Rihanna, which peaked at number two on the Hot 100. His self-titled fourth album (2024) featured the top 20 hit "Whatever She Wants."
