The Swedish Idol finalist steps into her own spotlight after four years of artistic development, with the single already surpassing 3.7 million views on TikTok.
Swedish singer and songwriter Ruby Alliyah has released her debut single, “Trackstar Romantic,” now available on all major streaming platforms. Written by Ruby and produced by Blindforlove and Frank Moses, the single marks the official arrival of Pilot’s flagship debut signing.
First discovered by many as a standout finalist on Swedish Idol at 16, Ruby deliberately chose not to rush into releasing music while the show’s momentum was still fresh. Instead, she spent the following four years refining her songwriting, developing her artistic identity, and building an extensive catalogue before introducing herself on her own terms.
“I’ve been performing since I was a kid, but this is the first time I’m telling my own story in my own voice. ‘Trackstar Romantic’ is exactly who I am right now—honest, a little vulnerable, and ready.” Ruby Alliyah
Blending contemporary R&B, pop, and soulful influences, “Trackstar Romantic” captures the self-aware chaos of modern dating. It is a song for hopeless romantics who create imaginary scenarios after one date, fall a little too quickly, laugh at their own delusions, and know they should walk away—but never quite learn.
The result is a confident and playful debut that transforms dating anxiety into something witty, empowering, and undeniably fun. With relatable storytelling, a memorable melody, and an infectious hook, “Trackstar Romantic” introduces an emotionally honest and internationally minded sound that is distinctly Ruby.
Momentum has already begun building around the release. Ahead of its full campaign rollout, “Trackstar Romantic” organically surpassed 3.7 million views on TikTok, with creators discovering and resharing the song on their own terms—a strong early indication of its replay value and viral potential.
Behind the scenes, Ruby has spent the past year collaborating with producers and songwriters including Donel Mangena, whose credits include Ayra Starr and Leon Thomas; Blindforlove, whose credits include Central Cee and Dave; ATG, whose credits include Burna Boy; INKiD, whose credits include Zara Larsson; and John Alexis, whose credits include Central Cee and Teddy Swims.
Beyond the music itself, “Trackstar Romantic” introduces a larger creative universe built around girlhood, chosen family, and emotional honesty. It is a world in which vulnerability is not a weakness but a source of strength—and one in which Ruby hopes listeners will recognize parts of themselves.
More than a debut single, “Trackstar Romantic” marks the beginning of a new chapter built patiently, intentionally, and on Ruby’s own creative foundation.
