Country artist George Birge has achieved a significant career milestone as his single "Mind On You" was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on October 23, 2025. The certification recognizes 500,000 units in sales and streaming equivalents in the United States. Released on November 5, 2021, via Records Nashville / Columbia, the song has become a cornerstone of Birge's solo career.
A native of Austin, Texas, George Birge first gained notice as one half of the country duo Waterloo Revival alongside Cody Cooper from 2013 to 2020. After the duo disbanded, Birge focused on songwriting, penning tracks for artists such as Matt Stell, Chris Lane, and Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts. His work also caught the attention of country veteran Clay Walker, who recorded and released Birge's songs "Need a Bar Sometimes" and "Catchin' Up with an Old Memory." Birge's transition to a solo recording artist was catalyzed in 2021 when his independent release "Beer Beer, Truck Truck" went viral on social media, leading to his signing with Records Nashville.

"Mind On You" was featured on Birge's self-titled EP and later on his 2023 album, George Birge: Mind On You. The track's success helped establish his presence on country radio and paved the way for subsequent hits. Following the momentum of "Mind On You," Birge went on to achieve even greater chart success with his single "Cowboy Songs," which reached number one on the Country Airplay chart in 2024, solidifying his position as a rising star in the genre.
