Carrie Underwood's 2012 single "Blown Away" has received a new certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). On October 30, 2025, the song was officially certified 5x Platinum, a distinction signifying 5,000,000 certified units in the United States. The country single was released by 19 Recordings Limited / Arista Nashville.

"Blown Away" was released on May 1, 2012, as the title track from Underwood's fourth studio album and served as its second official single. The song was written by Chris Tompkins and Josh Kear, the same songwriting team that penned Underwood's earlier hit, "Before He Cheats." The country pop track features a dark, narrative-driven story about a young woman who locks herself in a storm cellar while a tornado approaches, leaving her abusive, alcoholic father in the house. According to producer Mark Bright, the song's sound was inspired by 1980s music. Underwood noted that after hearing the demo, she knew immediately that she had to record it and that it would be the album's title.
