The Neighbourhood Earns RIAA 2x Platinum for "You Get Me So High"

The Neighbourhood's single "You Get Me So High" has officially been certified 2x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The certification, dated October 30, 2025, recognizes the equivalent of 2,000,000 units sold in the United States. The track was released by Columbia Records as part of the band's rock catalog.

Released on September 22, 2017, "You Get Me So High" thematically explores the band's reaction to the massive success of their earlier double-platinum hit, "Sweater Weather," and the subsequent effects on the members. The song first appeared as the second track on the 2017 EP Hard. It was later included as the ninth track on the band's comprehensive 2018 compilation album, Hard to Imagine The Neighbourhood Ever Changing, which collected songs from a series of preceding EPs.

Formed in Newbury Park, California, in 2011, The Neighbourhood consists of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Fried. The alternative rock group signed with Columbia Records and rose to prominence with their 2013 debut album, I Love You., which featured their signature song "Sweater Weather." That single became their sole entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 14, and experienced a significant resurgence in popularity nearly a decade after its release. The band has maintained a consistent presence with other notable tracks, including "Afraid," "Daddy Issues," "Softcore," "Reflections," and "The Beach."
