Canadian artist Drake's 2011 single "Headlines" has achieved a significant sales milestone, earning a 10x Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The certification, dated October 24, 2025, recognizes 10,000,000 units in the R&B/Hip-Hop genre. The single was released under the Cash Money / Republic Records label.

Released on August 9, 2011, "Headlines" served as the second single from Drake's acclaimed sophomore studio album, Take Care. The track was produced by two of the artist's most frequent and formative collaborators, Matthew "Boi-1da" Samuels and Noah "40" Shebib. It first premiered on Drake's blog, October's Very Own, on July 31, 2011, before its official release to radio and digital retailers. In an interview with MTV News, Drake explained the song's intent: "The purpose of that record was solely to deliver a message. I could've gone with the record that was sort of super radio-friendly but I really just wanted to talk to the people with the first..." Upon its release, the song debuted and peaked at number 13 on the Billboard charts, becoming one of his highest-charting tracks at the time.

Drake, the Canadian rapper, singer, and actor, had already established himself as a rising star by the time "Headlines" was released, but the success of the single and the subsequent album Take Care helped solidify his position as a dominant force in contemporary music. The album is widely regarded as a landmark project in his discography, blending hip-hop and R&B with an introspective and atmospheric sound that would influence the genre for years to come. "Headlines" remains a key track from that era, showcasing the confident lyricism and signature production that defined his sound.
