Luke Combs' 2017 single "When It Rains It Pours" has officially achieved Diamond status, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced on 6. Oktober 2025. The certification recognizes 13,000,000 certified units in the U.S. The track was released by Columbia Nashville / River House Artists.
Previously certified: 13x Platin (6. Oktober 2025).
Released on 2. Juni 2017, "When It Rains It Pours" served as the second single from Combs' major-label debut album, This One's for You. Co-written by Combs with Ray Fulcher and Jordan Walker, the song humorously details a man's sudden string of good fortune following a breakup, a narrative based on a similar experience in Combs' own life. The single became his second consecutive No. 1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts. It also crossed over to the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number 33. The song achieved significant international success as well, reaching No. 1 on the Canada Country chart and earning a 7x Platin certification in Australia.

A native of North Carolina, Luke Combs moved to Nashville to pursue music after leaving college, releasing his debut EP in 2014. The widespread success of "When It Rains It Pours" was a key factor in the commercial performance of This One's for You, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and established him as a major new voice in country music. Combs has since become one of the genre's most decorated artists, winning numerous accolades including the Country Music Association's highest honor, Entertainer of the Year, in both 2021 and 2022. The song's music video was nominated for Video of the Year at the 2018 CMT Music Awards, and Combs promoted the track with performances on shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
