British producer Fred again.. has released his new single, “you’re a star,” a collaboration with Australian punk band Amyl and the Sniffers. The track is the first release from the next phase of his ongoing, evolving project, the USB album.
The new era of the project was recently announced and will span ten weeks, during which Fred again.. will release ten songs and perform ten shows in ten different cities. The first show of the series is scheduled for Glasgow’s SECC, with supporting performances from ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U and HAAi. A vinyl edition of the new collection, titled USB002, is available for pre-order.
The USB series began in 2022 as a collection of singles, collaborations, and remixes. The first installment, which included tracks such as “Rumble” with Skrillex and Flowdan, “leavemealone” with Baby Keem, and “stayinit” with Lil Yachty, was pressed to vinyl as USB001 in 2024.
