The certification recognizes 500,000 certified units in the United States. Released on 2. Oktober 2015, the song serves as the opening track for the singer's acclaimed debut studio album, T R A P S O U L, issued by RCA Records.

"Intro (Difference)" sets the thematic tone for T R A P S O U L, functioning as a brief address to a love interest in which Tiller explains what makes him different from others. The track transitions directly into the album's second song, "Let Em' Know."
