Bryson Tiller's single "Been That Way" has been certified 2x Platin by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), as announced on 2. Oktober 2025. The certification signifies equivalent sales of 2,000,000 units in the United States. Issued by RCA Records, the track continues to be a durable catalog favorite for the artist. Released on 21. August 2015, "Been That Way" was a key track from Tiller's breakthrough debut album, T R A P S O U L. The song features the singer's signature blend of trap-influenced production and soulful R&B melodies. Thematically, the lyrics find Tiller addressing a former partner, insisting that his feelings for them have not changed despite his rising fame.
