Tyler Hubbard's debut solo single, "5 Foot 9," has officially been certified 3x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The certification, dated November 12, 2025, recognizes 3,000,000 units in U.S. sales and streaming equivalents. The track was released by EMI Nashville on May 20, 2022, and served as the lead single from Hubbard's first solo project.

The song marked a significant launch for Hubbard's solo career after his remarkable success as one half of the multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line. Across his career, Hubbard has earned 23 No. 1 singles on country radio. "5 Foot 9" became his first solo chart-topper on Country Radio and was featured on his Gold-certified debut album, aptly titled Tyler Hubbard, which was released in January 2023. Hubbard is the only country artist to have launched two separate careers with four consecutive No. 1 singles, a testament to his enduring songwriting and performance appeal.

"5 Foot 9" is a personal ode to the "good stuff" in life, inspired by Hubbard's wife, Hailey, and also includes a reference to country music icon Tim McGraw. Though his wife is actually 5'10 ", Hubbard has noted that he used 5'9" in the lyrics because it fit the song's rhyme scheme. The single's success, along with subsequent hits like the 2x Platinum "Dancin' In The Country," has helped Hubbard amass more than 2 billion streams as a solo artist, cementing his place as a formidable force in contemporary country music.
