The Lowdown Drifters' single "Fire In Her Eyes" has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), marking a significant milestone for the independent country-rock band. The certification, dated October 10, 2025, recognizes 500,000 units sold and streamed in the United States. Released on April 18, 2019, the track is the band's first RIAA award.

Originally formed in the Pacific Northwest in 2015 by singer-songwriters Big John Cannon and Ryan Klein, The Lowdown Drifters are now based in Fort Worth, Texas. The group has cultivated a sound that blends country, rock, and Americana, which has been described as being from "a Texas-based band" or, more colorfully, "a rock band with a fiddle problem." After building a regional following with their 2016 debut EP, Wood & Water, the band began sharing stages with acts like the Randy Rogers Band and Parker McCollum. The group is represented by The Kirby Organization for national booking.

"Fire In Her Eyes" is a standout track from the band's first full-length album, Last Call for Dreamers, which was self-released in April 2019. The album's success was pivotal for the band, propelling them to over 50 million total streams and more than 500,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. "Fire In Her Eyes" is their most-streamed song, with over 36 million plays on the platform, contributing significantly to their growing national profile and tour opportunities with artists such as Koe Wetzel and Zach Bryan.
