Born Gloria Hallelujah Woods, Glorilla first gained widespread attention with her 2022 breakout single, "F.N.F. Its viral success led to her signing with fellow Memphis native Yo Gotti's record label, Collective Music Group (CMG), in July 2022. She followed up with the double-platinum hit "Tomorrow 2" featuring Cardi B, her first single to reach the top ten. Her debut EP, Anyways, Life's Great, entered the Billboard 200 at number 11, and she won Best New Hip-Hop Artist at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards. Her momentum continued into 2024 with top 40 singles like "Yeah Glo!" and "Wanna Be" with Megan Thee Stallion, culminating in Billboard naming her the Hottest Female Rapper of 2024.

"Let Her Cook" is a standout track from GLORIOUS, an album that solidified Glorilla's commercial prowess. The project achieved the highest opening week for a female rapper on the Billboard 200 in 2024, moving 69,000 units. With this, Glorilla became the first female rapper to have two projects, including her mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang, sell over 500,000 units within the year. Executive produced by Yo Gotti, the album features production from Timbaland and Go Grizzly, among others, and includes guest appearances from Latto, Sexyy Red, T-Pain and Megan Thee Stallion.
