A benefit concert, "Friends Of The Atwoods: A Night Of Giving," will be held in Nashville on Tuesday, Nov. 18, to support longtime country music community members Tim and Roxane Atwood as they face significant health challenges. The event will take place at 3rd & Lindsley, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. The evening will include a live auction, with proceeds helping to offset medical expenses.
Tim Atwood is known for his 38-year tenure as the Grand Ole Opry's staff pianist, where he performed with artists including Roy Acuff, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and Taylor Swift. Roxane Atwood was a producer for "Grand Ole Opry Live" and "Opry Backstage," contributing to the careers of performers such as Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton.
Tim Atwood has been dealing with complications from a debilitating back injury he sustained five years ago. Roxane, who had been his caregiver, suffered a stroke on Sept. 2, 2025, which resulted in partial paralysis. Their home required major accessibility renovations to accommodate her return.
Tickets for the event are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. A limited number of four-seat VIP tables are available for $250. The event is sponsored by Gus Arrendale and Springer Mountain Farms, with additional support from Mezek Films and in partnership with Music Amplifies. For those unable to attend, contributions can be made to a GoFundMe page set up for the couple.
