Dale Pututi & Nesty Earn RIAA Latin Gold for "Mal Necesario"

The single "Mal Necesario" by Cuban artists Dale Pututi and Nesty has received its first certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). On November 13, 2025, the track was certified Latin Gold, recognizing 30,000 equivalent units sold and streamed in the United States. The song was released by Puntilla Music and Plus Media.

Originally released on September 29, 2023, "Mal Necesario" showcases a collaboration rooted in the urbano latino and reparto genres. The track, which has accumulated over 2.5 million streams on Spotify, was later featured on Dale Pututi's 2024 album, Ocean. This certification marks a significant milestone for the single more than two years after its debut.

Dale Pututi, born Alejandro Arce, is an established producer and composer who has been instrumental in shaping the sound of modern Latin music. Before launching his career as a performing artist, he received a Latin Grammy nomination in 2021 for Best Urban Song for his work on "Muchacha" by Gente de Zona and Becky G. That same year, he was a producer on the two-time Latin Grammy-winning song "Patria y Vida."
