“I’m so thrilled to begin this next chapter of my musical journey with Atlantic,” Clairo said in a statement. “From our first meeting, they immediately understood my vision, and it feels good to know I can continue to be as expressive and free with my ideas with a great new partner by my side.”
Elliot Grainge, Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Music Group, echoed the sentiment. “Clairo represents the rare kind of artist who reshapes the music landscape simply by being true to herself,” Grainge said. “She’s not just one of the most important songwriters of her era, she's an artist whose work and aesthetic is truly unique.”
Clairo first gained viral attention in 2017 with her lo-fi pop song “Pretty Girl,” which led to a record deal with Fader Label. She followed her debut with 2021’s Sling, collaborating with producers Rostam Batmanglij and Jack Antonoff, respectively. Her most recent album, Charm, was produced with Leon Michels and earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Alternative Album. The record spent 14 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and helped propel her to over 7.5 billion total global artist streams.
A celebrated live performer, Clairo has appeared at major festivals including Coachella and the Newport Folk Festival. Her work has been praised by publications including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and Vogue.
