Chappell Roan's single "The Giver" has officially been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The certification, dated November 25, 2025, recognizes 500,000 units in sales and streaming equivalents in the United States. Released by Island Records on March 14, 2025, the track marks a significant commercial milestone for the artist.

In an Apple Music interview coinciding with the single's release, Roan revealed that "The Giver" was inspired by her hometown of Springfield, Missouri, and her formative years listening to country music. She cited a diverse range of influences for the song, including Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain, The Charlie Daniels Band, and specifically Big & Rich's "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)." With the track, Roan aimed to explore a genre niche outside of her typical pop and queer-centric sound, an ambition reflected in the RIAA's official genre classification of the single as Country.
