The country song was released by 19 Recordings Limited / Arista Nashville as part of her fourth studio album, Blown Away.

Originally released on May 1, 2012, "See You Again" has a unique backstory. The song, which addresses the theme of moving forward after a loss, was initially written for the 2010 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
