Country superstar Carrie Underwood has earned another RIAA certification, with her 2021 gospel album, My Savior, officially certified Gold. The Recording Industry Association of America awarded the certification on November 20, 2025, recognizing 500,000 certified units in the United States. Released on March 26, 2021, via Capitol Nashville, the album is Underwood's first full collection of traditional gospel hymns, featuring her renditions of classics such as "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace," and "The Old Rugged Cross."

The album's success adds to an already decorated career for Underwood, who rose to fame after winning the fourth season of American Idol. Described as a "true multi-format multi-media superstar," she has sold more than 85 million records worldwide and achieved 29 No. 1 singles. Her extensive list of accolades includes eight Grammy Awards, 16 ACM Awards, 25 CMT Music Awards, and 17 American Music Awards. A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2008, Underwood has consistently demonstrated her staying power, with all 10 of her albums debuting in the Top 10 of the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. Beyond music, she has built a business portfolio that includes the fitness brand CALIA, the fitness app fit52, and her own SiriusXM channel, CARRIE's COUNTRY.

While My Savior was her first dedicated gospel project, Underwood has long incorporated faith-based music into her work. Her powerful performance of "How Great Thou Art" with Vince Gill at the 2011 "ACM Girls Night Out: Superstar Women of Country" concert became a viral moment, widely shared across social media and beloved by fans. The album followed her 2020 Christmas collection, My Gift, continuing a period of releases centered on spiritual and holiday themes that resonated deeply with her audience.
