Bryson Tiller's 2020 single, "Always Forever," has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the organization announced on October 2, 2025. The certification signifies 500,000 units sold in the United States. Released by RCA Records on September 21, 2020, the track served as the second single from Tiller's third studio album, Anniversary.

Thematically, "Always Forever" finds Tiller lamenting a lost love where his feelings were not reciprocated. The song is built on a "smoothed-out" production with the artist's signature trap-infused drums. Upon its release, critics highlighted Tiller's vocal performance, with Aaron Williams of Uproxx noting the song allowed him to "show off his vocals more than his bars," and Ayana Rashed of Respect praising his "mesmerizing vocals." The track's parent album, Anniversary, was released on October 2, 2020, and peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 chart.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Bryson Tiller gained mainstream recognition for his unique blend of R&B and hip-hop often categorized as "trap soul." He began his career in 2011 with the mixtape Killer Instinct Vol. 1, but it was his 2015 single "Don't" that propelled him to stardom. The song peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since been certified septuple-platinum leading to a deal with RCA Records. His debut album, Trapsoul (2015), reached the top ten of the Billboard 200 and was followed by a No. 1 debut for his sophomore effort, True to Self (2017). Tiller has also achieved major success as a featured artist, notably on DJ Khaled's No. 2 hit "Wild Thoughts" alongside Rihanna.
