The Canadian rock group Three Days Grace has earned a new certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their hit single, "Pain." On November 18, 2025, the track was officially certified 4x Platinum, signifying 4,000,000 certified units in the United States. Released on June 13, 2006, via RCA Records, "Pain" was a lead single from the band's second studio album, One-X.

"Pain" is a deeply personal track that explores themes of emotional numbness and depression. Written by the band's then-vocalist Adam Gontier, the song reflects on his personal struggle with prescription drug addiction, expressing a tormented desire to feel physical pain as an alternative to feeling nothing at all. The song became one of the band's many number-one hits, resonating with a wide audience and contributing to the commercial success of One-X, which also featured the popular singles "Animal I Have Become" and "Never Too Late."
