The Pussycat Dolls, an American girl group that rose from a Los Angeles neo-burlesque troupe to global pop stardom, have earned a new certification for their debut album. The group was founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995 and transitioned into a mainstream music act following a 2003 record deal with Interscope Geffen A&M Records.
