Luke Combs Earns RIAA Platinum for "Dive"

Luke Combs' cover of "Dive" has officially earned Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the organization announced on October 6, 2025. The certification recognizes 1,000,000 units for the digital single, which was released via Columbia Nashville and River House Artists.

Released on March 7, 2018, "Dive" is Combs' country interpretation of a song originally by British pop superstar Ed Sheeran. The track was recorded at Sound Stage in Nashville as part of the exclusive "Spotify Singles" series. Combs' version was noted for giving the pop tune a "distinctly country flavor while keeping its bones intact," showcasing his ability to reinterpret material across genres.

Luke Albert Combs (born March 2, 1990) has become one of modern country music's most dominant figures. A native of North Carolina, he left college to pursue music, relocating to Nashville and releasing his debut EP, The Way She Rides, in 2014. His major-label debut album, This One's for You (2017), reached number four on the Billboard 200 and launched a string of hit singles.
