## Lauren Spencer-Smith: Too Broke for Christmas This Year

Lauren Spencer-Smith captures the holiday season's financial struggles with humor and relatability in her single, 'Broke Christmas".

Canadian singer-songwriter [Lauren Spencer-Smith](https://www.popfiltr.com/artist-profile/lauren-spencer-smith) has presented a new holiday track, "Broke Christmas." Released on November 10, 2023, this song offers a comical and relatable take on the struggles of holiday spending. And WE LOVE IT!

The song's chorus is particularly striking:

> "I'm so broke this time of the year
> Can't afford to buy underwear
> Wish I didn't spend it in Ju-u-une
> 'Cause now I have no money for you-ooh-ooh
> Don't even send me your wish list
> 'Cause I'm way too broke for Christmas
> This year"

"Broke Christmas" by [Lauren Spencer-Smith](https://www.popfiltr.com/artist-profile/lauren-spencer-smith) is a refreshing addition to the holiday playlist.
